Pinocchio

A bedtime story for sweet dreams

Once upon a time, there lived a kind old man named Geppetto. He lived alone in a cozy little house filled with tools, toys, and wooden inventions. More than anything, Geppetto wished for a child of his own.

One quiet night, he carved a special puppet and named him Pinocchio.

Before going to bed, Geppetto looked at the wooden boy and whispered,

— “Oh, how I wish you were a real boy…”

That very night, a Blue Fairy appeared in a sparkle of magic. She gently tapped Pinocchio with her wand and said:

— “Pinocchio, if you are brave, kind, and truthful, you may become a real boy.”

In the blink of an eye — the puppet came to life!

Geppetto woke up and could hardly believe it. He laughed with joy and cried,

— “My son! You're real!”

The next day, Pinocchio set off for school, excited to learn. But on the way, he met a talking cat and a clever fox who tricked him into skipping school to visit the Puppet Theater. Pinocchio was amazed by the show, but soon the greedy puppet master locked him up, wanting to keep him forever.

Thanks to the Blue Fairy, Pinocchio was freed. But when she asked why he had missed school, he told a lie — and his nose grew long and pointy!

— “Whenever you lie, your nose will grow,” said the Fairy kindly.

Ashamed, Pinocchio promised to always tell the truth.

Still, more trouble found him. He ended up on a strange island where boys did nothing but play and misbehave. But there was a terrible secret — those who acted badly were turned into donkeys! Once he realized the danger, Pinocchio escaped with the help of a wise little cricket, who always tried to teach him right from wrong.

When Pinocchio finally returned home, he discovered Geppetto had gone out to look for him — and was now trapped inside a giant whale!

Without a second thought, Pinocchio jumped into the sea to save him.

Inside the whale, he found Geppetto, and together they came up with a clever plan to make the whale sneeze them out!

Seeing how brave and loving Pinocchio had become, the Blue Fairy appeared one last time.

— “Now you have shown true courage and kindness. You are ready to become a real boy.”

With a twirl of her wand and a burst of light, Pinocchio became a real boy at last — with a joyful smile and open arms, ready for a big hug from his father Geppetto.

And from that day on, they lived happily ever after, in a home full of love, adventures, and honesty.
