Once upon a time, in a quiet little village, there lived a curious boy named Jack. He lived with his mother in a small, cozy house, and they had a sweet cow named Buttercup.
But times got hard, and one day Jack’s mother said, sadly:
— Jack, we have to sell Buttercup to buy food.
With a heavy heart, Jack took the cow to the market. On the way, he met a very strange old man with a funny hat and twinkling eyes.
— I’ll trade you these magic beans for your cow! — the man said.
Jack was unsure… but the beans looked so special! And he was very curious. So he came home with the beans in his hand and a big smile on his face.
His mother was shocked:
— Beans?! Oh Jack, what have you done?
Upset, she threw the beans out the window. But the next morning… something amazing happened! A giant beanstalk had grown all the way up into the sky, swaying gently in the wind.
Jack was amazed. He began to climb — up, up, up — until he disappeared into the clouds.
At the top, he found a huge, silent castle. Step by step, Jack went inside. Suddenly, he heard a loud voice:
— FEE, FI, FO, FUM! I smell a little boy, yum!
It was a giant! Jack quickly hid inside a big pot of flour.
While the giant slept, Jack saw a magic harp that could sing by itself… and a hen that laid golden eggs!
— Wow! These could really help my mom! — Jack whispered.
He carefully took the hen and hurried back down the beanstalk. The next day, he climbed up again! This time, he brought back the singing harp.
But on the third day… the giant woke up!
— COME BACK HERE, BOY!
Jack rushed down with the giant right behind him! When he reached the ground, he shouted:
— Mom, the axe!
With one big chop, Jack cut the beanstalk. The giant fell… BOOM! Back into the clouds, never to be seen again.
Jack and his mother used the golden eggs to live comfortably, helping their neighbors and telling their story of adventure and courage.
And they lived happily ever after, in a home full of joy, books, and a little bit of magic.
