PRINCESS

Cinderella

A bedtime story about kindness, courage, and dreams that come true

Once upon a time, there was a kind and beautiful young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her stepmother and her two mean stepsisters, who treated her very badly. They made her do all the chores and never said a kind word. But even with all that, Cinderella always kept a gentle heart and a warm smile.

One day, the King announced a grand ball at the palace. The Prince was to choose a bride, and all the young ladies in the kingdom were invited!

Cinderella’s stepsisters were thrilled and immediately began preparing their dresses. But poor Cinderella, with nothing to wear, didn’t think she would be able to go.

With the help of her kind animal friends — little mice and birds from the forest — she sewed a dress made from scraps and dreams. But when she showed it to her sisters, they were jealous and tore it apart, saying she couldn’t go to the ball.

Heartbroken, Cinderella went up to the attic and looked out at the palace in the distance. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

Suddenly, a sparkling light appeared — it was her fairy godmother! With a gentle smile and a wave of her magic wand, she turned the torn dress into a glittering gown, the pumpkin into a golden carriage, and the mice into horses and helpers.

“Now you can go to the ball,” said the fairy godmother, “but remember — the magic will end at midnight.”

Cinderella arrived at the palace, and everyone stopped to admire her beauty. The prince saw her and was immediately enchanted. He invited her to dance, and it felt like they had known each other forever. It was as if fate had brought them together.

But just as the clock struck midnight, Cinderella remembered the warning. She ran out of the palace, her dress turning back into rags. As she fled down the stairs, she lost one of her glass slippers.

The next day, the prince sent the royal Duke across the kingdom to find the girl who fit the slipper. He visited every house, but the slipper didn’t fit anyone.

When the Duke arrived at Cinderella’s house, her stepmother locked her in the attic. The stepsisters tried on the slipper, but it didn’t fit. Then, the Duke saw Cinderella at the window and asked to see her.

She came down, tried on the slipper — and it fit perfectly!

The prince knew she was the one. Cinderella and the prince were soon married in a grand celebration. She went to live in the palace, where she was treated with love and respect.

And from that day forward, Cinderella never forgot that with kindness and courage, even the biggest dreams can come true.

And so, Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after.
